Rivers of the World

Click on the picture to access wiki Rivers of the World
Rivers have always been an essential part of human culture. Even in ancient times, we travelled on them, and built cities along them.

We sing about rivers, they nourish us, inspire and refresh us.

Rivers of the World is part of the Thames festival project.
Choose a river from the resources list and be ready to make a five-minute presentation about:

  • the countries it goes through
  • the people living on it
  • songs or stories it has inspired

You can also think of
the Amazon, the Mississippi, the Volga, and many others.

The Amazon is the mightiest river in the world, the lifeblood for whole civilizations and home to thousands of different species of fish and plants that live on its banks. This film follows a quest for the medicinal qualities of native plants.
